Parattaiyar is a small stream originating from Mahendragiri Hills. Thamaraiyar is a combination of two small streams also originating in the same hills named Mombaiyar and Kodumudiyar. Both the tributaries join Nambiyar at the foothills of Mahendragiri Hills.
